HOW TO GET THERE

FLY

If you’re planning to fly into one of the Metro Area airports, you can either drive (Uber/taxi/car rental) from the terminal, or take public transportation from the airport if available.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Public transportation from JFK: AirTrain directly from JFK to Jamaica Station and transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR details below). About 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Driving from JFK: About 1 hour and 35 minutes, traffic permitting.

La Guardia Airport (LGA)
- Public transportation from LGA: Nope
- Driving from LGA: About 1 hour and 30 minutes, traffic permitting.

Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP)
- Public transportation from ISP: Nope
- Driving from ISP: About 1 hour, traffic permitting.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- Public transportation from EWR: Northeast Corridor train from EWR to Penn Station in Manhattan and then transfer the LIRR (LIRR details below). Expect no less than 2 hours.
- Driving from EWR: No less than 2 hours, traffic permitting.

Train

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) runs between Manhattan (Penn Station) and various stations across Long Island including the below stations which are only about 5-20 minutes away from various weekend locations by car.

Oyster Bay Line (requires a transfer at Jamaica if coming from Penn)
From Penn Station to Glen Cove Station: 1 hour
From Penn Station to Locust Valley Station: 1 hour and 20 minutes

Huntington Line
From Penn Station to Syosset Station: 50 minutes
From Penn Station to Cold Spring Harbor Station: 1 hour and 20 minutes

DRIVE

Ubers do exist in the area, although we recommend that you expect them to take no less than 15 minutes to pick you up.

Local taxis to call include Syosset Taxi, Oyster Rides and Oyster Bay Taxi. We also recommend that you expect any of them to take no less than 15 minutes to pick you up.

Driving from the closest major airports, JFK or La Guardia: Allot for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes, traffic permitted.

Driving from Manhattan: About 1 hour and 35 minutes, traffic permitted.
